This zucchini and basil soup recipe is so simple but so good. Even without any cream, it had a rich, creamy texture. I bet it would be good as a chilled soup too. It was perfect for using our soon-to-be bounty of zucchini and basil.
I think we’ll be having this soup a lot this summer. It would probably go well with a simple tomato salad and crusty bread with cheese.
The giant vase is put in, there’s a plant in it that we both like, and the pavers have been placed around the path.
Most of the plants in the backyard have been planted. Tomatoes are in pots and the garden bed. The other garden bed has okra, zucchini, bell peppers, sorrel, and chives.
The back wall of the garden is starting to look nice and green. I hope that decorative plum tree starts filling out a little more and the white bittermelon starts climbing the trellis soon.
Our landscapers, who seem great and talented, are definitely meticulous. The progress is slow going, but I’m liking what I’m seeing so far.
The front is looking a bit sparse, but I like the giant vase in the middle. I’m already loving the pavers. Beats having to roll the trashcan over the grass every week!
The backyard looks so much better now that there’s an arbor to hide the eyesore of our neighbor’s yard. I even like the blue painted wall in spite of the neighbor drama surrounding it.
